By entering, you agree to these Official Rules and Terms & Conditions (“Rules”), which form a binding agreement between you and the Sponsor.

1) SPONSOR / ORGANIZER

2) CONTEST GOALS (IN PLAIN ENGLISH)
This is a skill-based remix competition designed to:
– celebrate the original release and extend its shelf life
– discover new production talent
– grow the Mugic.us community and showcase finalists publicly

3) IMPORTANT DATES
– Contest opens: Tue, Feb 17, 2026 @ 6PM Eastern / 3PM Pacific Time
– Submission deadline: Friday, April 3 @ 11:59 PM Eastern / 8:59PM Pacific

Sponsor’s system clock is the official timekeeping device.

Sponsor may update dates in its sole discretion. If dates change, the Contest Website will show the official timeline.

4) ELIGIBILITY
The contest is open worldwide only to individuals who are the legal age of majority where they live (generally 18+).

Not eligible:
– employees/contractors/agents of Sponsor or its partners, and their immediate family/household members
– anyone whose exclusive recording, publishing, or other agreement would prevent them from participating or would restrict Sponsor’s ability to release a winning remix

5) HOW TO ENTER (REQUIRED STEPS)
To enter, you must:
A) Be Following Mugic.us Records on SoundCloud (required).
B) Repost the EP on Soundcloud here
C) Download the official stems from the Contest Website (the “Contest Stems”).
D) Create your remix and export your submission file(s) as a mastered WAV file that’s 16 or 24 bit and 44.1khz sample rate.  
E) Upload your remix to SoundCloud as a PRIVATE track with downloads enabled.
F) Submit the Mugic.us webform (on this page) in full, including:
   – legal name
   – artist name
   – email
   – country of residence
   – SoundCloud profile link
   – private SoundCloud link to your remix (download enabled)
   – confirmation checkboxes)

ENTRY LIMIT: One (1) entry per person. You may replace/update your entry any time before the deadline by submitting the form again; only your most recent eligible submission will be judged.

6) REQUIRED REMIX SPECIFICATIONS
A) Include the identity of the original: you must use at least [1–2] of the official stems
B) Do NOT post your remix publicly (SoundCloud public, Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, etc.) before winners are announced. If your remix is not selected when winners are announced in April, you may publish your remix on Soundcloud, Youtube, or Bandcamp for Free Download (provided your gate also follows the Mugic.us label account). You may not distribute to DSP’s such as Spotify, Beatport, Apple Music etc.

7) ALLOWED CONTENT / SAMPLES / AI
A) You may use the Contest Stems only to create your remix and enter this contest.
B) Third-party samples are allowed only if you have full, documented clearance for BOTH the master and composition, and you can provide proof immediately on request. Unlicensed samples will result in disqualification.
C) Prohibited content: Illegal, hateful, discriminatory, threatening, pornographic, or defamatory content is prohibited.
D) AI policy (optional): Entries created using generative AI systems (including synthetic voices or models trained on copyrighted content without permission) are not eligible.

8) PRIZES
Grand Prize Winner receives:
– Custom Bunny mask by Juzz Bunnii
– $75 Cash
– Chance for official release on Mugic.us Records (subject to quality control and legal approvals)
– Promotional support (label social posts, DJ promo pool, playlist pitching)
– One (1) Limited First Edition Mugic.us T-Shirt
– One (1) Limited First Edition Mugic.us Sticker

Second and Third prize winners to receive:
– Chance for official release on Mugic.us Records (subject to quality control and legal approvals)
– Promotional support (label social posts, DJ promo pool, playlist pitching)
– One (1) Limited First Edition Mugic.us T-Shirt
– One (1) Limited First Edition Mugic.us Sticker

Prizes are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash except where explicitly stated. Sponsor may substitute prizes of equal or greater value.

9) JUDGING CRITERIA AND JUDGING PANEL
This is a skill contest. Odds of winning depend on the number and quality of submissions.
Judging criteria include:
– musicality and arrangement
– originality and sound design
– mixdown/technical quality
– dancefloor utility (energy curve, intro/outro)
– effective use of the provided stems
– viability of a potential Mugic.us released remix 

Judging panel: Mugic.us label founder Jonas Loeb, Mugic.us A&R Representative Willy Mort, and Pretty HIGH will jointly determine winners. 

10) RIGHTS IN THE CONTEST STEMS (IMPORTANT)
All Contest Stems remain the sole property of their respective owners. Sponsor grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable license to download and use the Contest Stems solely to create your remix and enter this contest. You may not distribute, sell, share, or upload the Contest Stems or isolated parts thereof anywhere.

11) RIGHTS YOU GRANT TO SPONSOR (ALL ENTRANTS)
By entering, you grant Sponsor a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:
– receive, store, and review your submission for judging and contest administration
– share excerpts of your submission (up to 60 seconds) on Sponsor’s channels for contest promotion and winner/finalist announcements
– use your artist name, approved bio, and approved likeness for contest-related publicity
This license does NOT authorize Sponsor to commercially release your full remix unless you are selected and sign an additional agreement (see Section 12).

12) WINNER / FINALIST RELEASE AGREEMENT (COMMERCIAL RELEASE)
If your remix is selected for official release, you must sign Sponsor’s separate Remix Release / License Agreement within [5] days of notification.
That agreement will cover: master rights, royalty split, credits, deliverables (project files/stems if requested), release schedule, marketing approvals, and any publishing considerations.
If you do not sign or do not deliver required files, Sponsor may select an alternate winner.

13) YOUR REPRESENTATIONS, WARRANTIES, AND INDEMNITY
You represent and warrant that:
– you are the sole creator of the non-stem components of your remix
– your remix does not infringe third-party rights
– you have not used unlicensed samples/recordings
– you are legally eligible to enter and to grant the rights described in these Rules
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor from claims arising out of your breach of these warranties.

14) DISQUALIFICATION
Sponsor may disqualify any entry that:
– violates these Rules
– is late, incomplete, or not in the required format
– is publicly posted before allowed
– contains unlicensed material or prohibited content
– attempts to interfere with the contest’s operation

15) TAXES
Winners are responsible for all taxes, duties, and fees associated with prizes, except where prohibited by law. Sponsor may require winners to submit tax forms and may issue required tax reporting documents.

16) LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, corrupted, or misdirected submissions, or technical failures of any kind. Sponsor’s liability will not exceed the value of the prize.

17) PRIVACY
Sponsor will collect personal data (e.g., name, email, country, SoundCloud link) to administer the contest and deliver prizes.
Sponsor will not sell your personal data. Sponsor will retain contest submission data after contest completion.

18) GOVERNING LAW / DISPUTES
These Rules are governed by the laws of New Jersey, USA.
